Today, is the second Passover eve. I have been waiting to celebrate Passover among our families. We rturned to Israel a month ago, but thanks to COVID-19 we can’t celebrate together.
I decided to make kebabs for today – and for heaven’s sake what would we eat with them?
Matzah again? I can’t eat matzah until next year.
So I decided to make these wonderful rolls that my mom makes every year during Passover.
I know Passover is about to end, but I highly recommend- save it for next year! It’s a great recipe!
Ingredients
2 cups of matzah flour
1.5 teaspoon of baking powder
2 cups of boiling water
¾ cup of vegetable oil (or any other oil you prefer)
5 eggs
Salt to taste
1 teaspoon of rosemary and thyme – optional, I didn’t have any
Preparation
1. Preheat the oven to 190º C\ 360º F
2. Put the flour in matzah, the baking powder, the spices, the boiling water and the oil and mix well
3. Add the eggs and mix it into a uniform paste
4. Let the dough rest for about 10 minutes
6. Spread baking sheet in a baking pan, and with wet hands (put a bowl next to you) make peach sized balls
7. Bake the buns for about 40 minutes
