Breakfast has been labeled the most important meal in the day.
The human body is the most intelligent machine there is, and I am always amazed by it, just like my mother is amazed whenever I take control of their computer or when we are speaking on skype.
Our metabolism is determined when we eat breakfast. When the body gets food, it realizes that everything is fine and that the metabolism is working properly. If we miss breakfast or, heaven forbids, “we cannot eat in the morning” (who are you people?), the body gets anxious that it will not get food for a long time, and as a result, our body stores the food as fat in Adipose tissue.
So, I hope we talked about the elephant in the room – if you gonna skip breakfast you will not lose any weight.
Breakfast improves and speeds up the metabolism, prevents intestinal problems and contributes to normal bowel activity and gastrointestinal operation burns calories.
Studies have shown that adults who eat breakfast are healthier, happier with their lives and less depressed than people who do not eat breakfast. It has shown that children who ate breakfast functioned better in school: they were more concentrated, had better learning skills, better memory and their achievements were better than children who did not have breakfast.
Pancakes have never been common in my house. Omelets, fresh vegetables, cheeses a “standard Israeli breakfast” was acceptable in my parents’ house. I remember that one of the first times we visited Walmart, I came across a pancake mixture and did not understand why people buy this stuff instead of making it themselves; it is so easy.
This is my version of pancakes:
Place all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Heat a Teflon pan and spray it with oil. With a small ladle / big tablespoon, take the mixture and pour into a skillet. I like pancakes smaller than the usual size. When bubbles begin to form in pancakes, you can turn them to the other side. Serve with jam / date honey / honey / maple or chocolate and strawberries.Ingredients
