We try to hike as much as we can. Noam LOVES nature, and it’s a great activity.
Ein Hardalit is one of the springs that feeds Nahal Kaziv.
Basically this hike is great for the hottest days because it is shaded, and in water.
It also very easy and not too long, so it is suitable for the whole family. We were there at the first time when Tamara was a month old (!!).
You can find there quite a few adorable spots where you can have a break.
The water in its deepest part reaches about the height of an adult’s thigh. At the end of the hike there is a deeper pool. We didn’t make it all the way to the pool. Because Noam doesn’t know how to swim and I was with Tamara on the carrier.
In any case, it’s not a loop hike. To get back to the parking lot you have to turn back and retrace your steps. Which is really OK because the way is magical.
At the beginning of the hike there is a parking lot and a gate. After crossing the gate, there is a two-minute walk that will take you to the first point where you can go down to the river.
Alternatively, you can continue walking on the dry track that parallels the with the water. But you can’t see the stream from it, and if you don’t want to see the stream, what’s the point of going to this hike?
Notes
– I must point out that you can also go down to the river from the parking lot, without going through the main gate, but I don’t recommend it. It is an area without shade.
– Do not wear flip flops! Sandals that are suitable for walking in water or closed shoes
– Bring a towel and clothes for the little ones and leave it in the car
– The walking in the stream is slippery – try to walk on the small stones, they are simply less slippery
